The Board is currently made up of both Executive and Non-Executive Directors. However, as the organisation grows, our aim is to have only Non-Executive Directors to ensure Board independence. The Board Chair is always a Non-Executive Director for this reason.

Colin is the CEO and Founder of Chrysalis, having established the organisation in 2003. He is a Registered Manager and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). He has 1st degree in Psychology & Health Science, Holds Post Graduate Qualifications in Advanced Addiction Psychology, as well as Existential Psychology & Psychotherapy. In addition to this he has significant experience of the care sector and extensive housing management and development experience in both the private and statutory sector.

Maxine has a proven track record in business development and had previously supported global organisations through growth and transition whilst maintaining the highest standards in service delivery.
Mathew Bennett

Matt has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry and specialises in project management. Having worked previously for Chrysalis in a variety of roles, Matt fully understands the supported accommodation model and how to manage a range of properties. Matt also possesses a deep and personal understanding of the need for good quality homes for society’s most vulnerable.
Malcolm Evans

Malcolm has a long and distinguished career at senior management and board level for several blue-chip companies. Commercial Director of Grand Metropolitan Plc, Managing Director of Brent Walker Plc’s leisure, Director of European Operations Sega Group. In 1996 he successfully headed up the Professional Committee to turn London Wasps rugby club professional in a 12-month period, he is a life vice president He has held a number of NED positions-NHS Somerset CCG, Arc Homes chairman, MBA projects. He has also been a member of the Avon and Somerset Advisory Committee standing down after the 9-year regulatory period in 2017.From January 2019 he has been appointed SRO and clerk for Olveston Parish council.
Michael Meanley

A Senior Real Estate Professional with over 25 years’ experience delivering and setting the strategies for Residential and Commercial Mixed Use and Strategic Land led Property Development in London, the South East of England and Overseas.
Michael has held senior positions at Byrne Group Residential, Berkeley Homes and St George Plc during which he supported the growth of the business from a turnover of £27m to £127m, delivering schemes such as Imperial Wharf,Fulham,London,SW6, St George Wharf, Vauxhall,London,SW11 and Beaufort Park, Hendon, NW.
Currently Senior Development Director with Diriyah Gate Development Authority in KSA responsible for the residential asset class of Diriyah Gate 2 in Riyadh delivering 2.5 million sqm of residential asset class (approximately 17,500 units).
Gillian Borg

Gillian comes from a senior banking background in the secure lending environment and credit control. In addition, Gillian is a specialised debt management and insolvency consultant, with significant experience of supporting individuals and businesses to resolve financial difficulties. She is conversant with Property Land Transaction requirements and other statutory debt management instruments.
Rino Ferrigno

Rino is an addiction specialist whose work has spanned across UK and Italy and he works privately across the globe. Rino is well known for speaking and debating on contemporary theories of addiction. Rino has experience of multi-disciplinary business settings and clinical expertise across many clinical disciplines. Rino is passionate about service delivery and the benefits that lived experience can bring to this.
